Leadership team

The Wonderseekers’ Leadership Team lead the development and implementation of the Charity’s strategic plan and its vision. Together, the team is responsible for the day-to-day running of Wonderseekers and ensures our culture is shaped by the values that are so integral to our Charity’s mission.

Ben Ward, Chief Executive Officer

Ben is responsible for the strategic aims of the independent educational charity. The Charity strives to engage all children with science so they can live happier, healthier and more sustainable lives and contribute to improving life on earth.

Lizi Moorcraft, Chief Finance Officer

“I help my awesome colleagues realise their vision when delivering our mission. That can be by providing financial planning and information, ensuring a clean, safe experience at the Science Centre or providing a reliable, effective IT system."

Grant Brisland, Chief Operating Officer

Grant leads our Charity operations at Winchester Science Centre. The award-winning Science Centre, wich first opened in 2002, is where science comes to life through interactive, hands-on, accessible science experiences.

Jo Hennessy, Director of Experiences

Jo joined the Charity in 2022 to lead the strategic vision of the visitor experience. She was to be the driving force for new development projects, ensuring they are accessible, sustainable and relevant to our audience.

Emily Mace, Director of Science Engagement

Emily manages and develops our exciting people-led programmes and activities, working with all our audiences, especially those children who don’t traditionally engage with science.

Charlie Mercer, Director of External Relations and Communications

Charlie leads the Charity's communications and external relations strategy to further the Charity’s impact and build greater organisational resilience.

Laura Ollis, Director of People and Culture

Laura's role is all about helping to shape people's experience in our workplace, embedding our Charity values into our culture. By making Wonderseekers an epic place to work our team can continue to do what they do best.

Kate Wasche, Director of Fundraising

Kate leads the team responsible for fundraising and managing relationships with the Charity’s funders, sponsors and donors.

Joe Bennett, Head of Estates

Joe is responsible for the development, management and maintenance of our buildings and land. "Even though my work is behind the scenes, it plays a part in creating a space where children can be inspired by science. I take pride in making sure the environment helps create a place where curiosity can thrive for every visitor."

Louise Bride, Head of Finance

Louise oversees the financial operations of Winchester Science Centre and the Charity.

Sarah Bull, Head of Marketing and Communications

Sarah oversees the marketing and communications strategy for Winchester Science Centre.

Peter Burch, Head of Major Gifts

Peter leads on fundraising campaigns that build partnerships with like-minded businesses to help grow our Charity's impact by creating more inclusive and fun science experiences for all.

Paul Cook, Head of Visitor Experience

Paul is responsible for ensuring all of our visitors have the best day out at Winchester Science Centre.

Jenna Cox, Head of Programming

Jenna is responsible for all our activities and experiences at Winchester Science Centre, including our hugely popular public offer, school trips, and events programme.

Andy Keenan, Head of Equity, Community Engagement and Outreach

Andy manages our equitable partnerships with children and communities, and is the strategic lead for access and inclusion at Winchester Science Centre.

Guy Cordran, Head of Digital Infrastructure

Guy is responsible for the charity's operational digital infrastructure, enabling a seamless interface between staff, technology and systems, and leading on the development and delivery of the Charity's IT strategy.
