Board of Trustees

The Wonderseekers Board of Trustees provides strategic leadership and governance to the Charity. This ensures we achieve what we set out to do effectively and always in line with regulatory obligations. We’re very proud to have a passionate and committed Board of Trustees. Each trustee brings a wealth of diverse experience and specialist skills to their role here.

Dr Janet Owen, FRSA, AMA, MA (Cantab), MA , Chair

Dr Janet Owen is a cultural professional with over 30 years of experience in connecting heritage, arts and science sectors. She holds an MA in Archaeology and Anthropology from the University of Cambridge.

Sara Sullivan, Deputy Chair

Sara has a passion for encouraging young people to fulfil their potential. The first in her family to go to university, she saw first-hand how wealth, privilege and gender can shape a career path. This led her to mentor at her previous school and join an initiative at Southampton University for law students who were the first in their family to go to university.

Phyllida James

Phyllida is a chartered accountant and qualified with PriceWaterhouseCoopers in 1984. After working in the profession for 20 years she moved to the financial services sector followed by the healthcare and telecoms sectors.

Malcolm Kemp

Malcolm is passionate about mathematics and science and the insights and innovation that they bring. Working as an actuary, he has spent most of his career in consulting and investment management.

Yvonne Rowland

Yvonne serves as the Cross-Company Programmes Team Lead at Moving Ahead, working to increase the representation of women and other underrepresented groups in leadership positions. Her deep-rooted commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion resonates with Wonderseekers’ mission.

Linda Taylor

Linda has worked in Human Resources for over 35 years. In 1999, having worked in the public and corporate sectors, she founded an HR consultancy that offers a range of HR and training services.

Dr Rutang Thanawalla

Rutang brings over 20 years' industry experience. He supports large financial institutions with their risk measurement and management and with business transformation programmes. Lately, these have centred on climate risk management and sustainability.

Thomas Wyman

Thomas Wyman is a Chartered Manager with over 15 years in financial services. His roles have spanned operations, technology and HR, focusing on product management, strategy and leadership. Thomas is passionate about helping others develop, learn and grow.
